Naturally crafted textile with Baltic symbolism for home harmony

This kitchen towel is handmade by a Latvian artisan who blends ancient symbolic motifs with contemporary textile aesthetics. The towel is made from natural materials, creating a balance between functionality and cultural depth.

The fabric is woven using the jacquard technique, giving it a distinctive two-sided design — one side features a softer tone with a darker pattern, while the other has a richer background with lighter accents.

The composition features the Sun symbol (Saules raksts), one of the oldest and most powerful ornaments in Latvian folk symbolism. It embodies life energy, light, and fertility, and represents the Sun as a giver and protector of life. The Sun sign conveys warmth, feminine strength, and the continuity of the cycle of life. It serves as a reminder of nature’s rhythms, inner balance, and harmony with the surrounding world.

Care: Recommended washing temperature is 30°C. The towel will become more absorbent with each wash.
