Each caramel in this box is shaped and coloured to look like a genuine piece of Baltic amber — no two are exactly alike.

The box itself is designed like a small gothic stained-glass window, with Riga’s skyline illustrated across the top and each candy sitting behind its own diamond-shaped “pane.” Inside the lid, a short poem about amber by Latvian poet Jānis Šišlo adds a literary touch to the packaging.

Held up to the light, the candies glow in the same honey, cognac and amber tones as the real stone, and their shapes vary just as naturally as amber does.

Net weight is 70 g (+/- 2 g) for 12 pieces, box size 13 × 28.5 cm. Ingredients: sugar, glucose syrup, quince syrup, sea buckthorn juice, rye malt; the candy may contain traces of cranberry and quince pieces. Store in a cool, dry place.
