Warm Hands on the Snowiest Days
These cosy milk white wool mittens feature a classic cable knit on the back of the hand and a brownish Nordic ornament with the Latvian “Auseklis” (Morning Star) symbol. Inside, a soft fleece lining keeps your hands warm even on the coldest winter days. The wool blend feels soft and warm, and the fleece lining makes the mittens pleasant to wear right from the first moment.
In the Baltic countries, gloves and mittens have long been given as a sign of care and good wishes.
They make a lovely gift for her or for him, a cosy Christmas present or a matching set with the hat and scarf from the same collection. For visitors from abroad, they are a practical souvenir to wear straight away on a winter walk through Old Riga, and to remember the trip every winter afterwards.
Care instructions:
Hand wash or machine wash warm (30–40°C / 86–104°F) with similar colours.
Use a gentle, wool-specific detergent.
Tumble dry on a medium heat setting and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.
Alternatively, dry flat to help keep the shape.
Iron on a medium heat setting, around 150°C / 300°F.
Do not dry clean, as it can cause shrinkage or damage the fibres.
Keep away from fire and heat sources.
Please note: the colour may look slightly different on different screens. Wool may shed a little at first – this is natural and stops after the first few wears.
