Flow – the board game
“Flow” is a cooperative board game inspired by the popular animated film “Flow” cat, created by a Latvian producer who was also involved in the creation of the game. The list of international film awards includes awards like
- The 97th Academy Awards “Oskars” – Animated Feature Film
- European Film Academy Award – Best European Animated Film
- Golden Globe Award – Best Animated Film of the Year
Players must work together as a team each other to help the cat and his friends return to the boat. Players accomplish this by playing spaces or playing action cards, they create a safe path for the animals to swim through—all in real-time. Quick thinking and sharp decision-making will be key to rescuing the animals and getting them back on board before they run out of energy. It takes you on an exciting adventure filled with real-time action, massive waves, and split-second decisions.
The board game “Flow” is designed for up to six players, who take on the roles of the film’s main characters—Black Cat, Capybara, Lemur, and Dog—trying to successfully reach the boat within one minute.
The game mechanics were developed by Dmitrijus Babičius, Tadas Kastanauskas, Justina Lapinskiene, and Marijus Lapinskas. The illustrations were created by Gints Zilbalodis and Reinis Pētersons.
